Your local House & Home removals company

Moving home can be one of the most stressful experiences you go through. Our aim is simple, to take that stress away. As a family run business, we aim to ensure each house move is stress free, and moves seamlessly, so all you have to focus on is how to enjoy your new home.

We’ve been helping families and couples move from one home to another for over 20 years, and we’re not too shy to say we’ve gotten pretty good at it!

Our team are well equipped to ensure your prized possessions are safely transported and looked after throughout the move, and our insurance policy gives you that extra peace of mind, should the worst happen (which never does)

Based close to the Worcestershire/Warwickshire border, we are perfectly situated to help move customers from Bromsgrove, Redditch, Alcester, Stratford, Worcester, Droitwich, Birmingham and surrounding towns and villages.

With a range of vehicle sizes from 3.5 tonne panel and Luton vans to 7.5 tonne removal trucks. We’re able to cater for and give tailored competitive quotes for both small and large moves locally or Nationally.

Let us pack for you

There’s a lot to packing up your items, and most find this to be the hardest part of moving, so we’re here to help. We’ll bring the boxes, protective wrapping and carefully pack each room, labelling each box, and because we do this for a living, we know how best to pack items to ensure safe transport.

We’ll arrange a suitable time for our team to come in and pack all the items on your behalf, so everything is ready for the move date. And don’t worry, we try to make this the day before, so to minimise any inconvenience of having all your items packed away.

Need furniture taking apart?

We’re here to help with that, too! Most find this to be one of the most time consuming parts, and a lot of times a two person job. Simply tell us which items you would like us to take apart, and we’ll carefully take apart and wrap, and put back together when we’ve moved you to your new house.

Moving long Distance?

Not a problem, we’ve got it sorted. You’ll receive the same level of excellent service and we make sure to build in enough time to work around you and your house move plan.

What’s more, we also have storage containers available to use, just in case you need all your family possessions storing overnight or a few days (or longer).

We’ll walk through the best approach to take, and understand your needs, and work with you to come up with a moving plan to ensure all your possessions are transported and at your new house on time.

How’s it all work?

Firstly, either fill in the form, or give us a call on 01527 894 028 / 07791 021468 and we’ll provide you with an initial estimate or arrange a time for a member of our team to visit in order to provide an accurate quotation. This visit can be at a time to suit you including daytimes, evenings and weekends.

During the quotation which normally takes no more than 15 minutes we will be able to estimate the length of time and volume of goods involved, answer any questions and run through all the moving options available to you. Usually within 48 hours you will then receive a quote via email or through the post that is tailored around your specific requirements.

After that, if you’re happy with the quote and wish to proceed we can arrange for any requested packaging to be dropped off or make a plan to come and pack your belongings if you have taken that service.

We understand that finalising a completion date can be the most frustrating part of the moving process and these dates can change frequently, so we will try to be as flexible as we possibly can for you. We are also on hand throughout the moving process from start to finish to answer any questions or queries that may arise.

It’s all about taking the stress and strain away, and we’re happy to say that our positive customer reviews reflect the level of service we strive to achieve.

Your questions answered

How much will my removal cost?

There are many factors that are taken into consideration when calculating
the price: Distance, size of vehicle, ease of access, size of crew and
packing are just some of the obvious ones. Always try to get your property
viewed to avoid any doubts, getting a quote over the phone can work for
smaller jobs but is nowhere near as reliable as a home survey for a
complete house move. Make sure you have a quote in writing. Try to avoid
being given only estimates by other companies as the initial cost may seem
low but the final bill may be much larger than you expected.

How do I know you are a reputable company?

We have 5 star reviews on all platforms, have 20 years experience, 1000’s
of satisfied customers and are trusted and utilised regularly by local
authorities, housing associations, the NHS and many local businesses. We
pride ourselves in our great reputation.

How long will the removal take?

There are several factors that affect the time it takes to complete a
removal. The obvious ones are the amount of goods and the distance they
are moving. Some may be less obvious but are just as important. Simple
things like having to park ten feet further from your house due to parked
cars or adverse weather conditions can severely change the time it takes to
load or unload.

What time will you start?

If a house sale and purchase is involved as opposed to rental and you are part of a chain then it’s generally expected that you will vacate the property by between midday and 1pm. Therefore we will always start at a time that comfortably sees us loaded and away by midday to prevent holding up the chain. If not part of a chain we can start as early as you are comfortable with.

What size van or truck will you provide?

We have a range of sizes. For complete home moves the size of the van is
decided by our staff based on a survey of your home. It is our
responsibility to get this right . But it is very important that you show the
surveyor all parts of the property and give accurate information on anything
they can’t see on the day such as loft contents or any items that maybe
added before removal day.. Always use a company with experience and a
good reputation to ensure that they will. Some companies may charge you
extra if the vehicle provided is not adequate and they have to call for
another vehicle or come back later in the day to collect extra items.

How many removal men will I get?

The size of the removal crew is decided by our staff based on the
information we have and is usually between two and four men. The
decision depends on the amount of goods to move and the overall
schedule for your move. We will be responsible for allocating enough staff
for your move.

Do you provide boxes, packaging and hanging boxes?

We stock all types of good quality boxes and packaging such as bubble-
wrap, paper-wrap, tape, hanging boxes, bottle boxes, and much more. We
can either include within the quotation or you can purchase separately. We
can drop the packaging off to you once a small deposit has been paid and
can even collect the boxes once you have finished unpacking.

Is there a removal guide or checklist I can follow?

Yes we can supply all customers with a home removals guide to packing,
moving checklist and removal day checklist. These can be emailed or
posted to you. Moving can be stressful and these brief guides can be very
useful in minimising that stress.

How many removal companies should I Get to quote?

Phone around until you find a company who you feel comfortable with. How
many you get is up to you. Just be aware of companies that won’t come out
to see you, who only provide an estimate or won’t give you a quote in
writing. Don’t ever feel pressured into paying a deposit until you are ready.
Be careful when it comes to basic terms. Quotes that appear too cheap
may have very strict terms on waiting times and other hidden costs that

mean the final bill can be much higher than expected. We aim to be
transparent with our pricing and as flexible with our terms as is possible.

How do I pay?

Once you have a removal date we take a 20% deposit to confirm the
booking and reserve the date for you. This deposit is transferable to other
date providing we get between 3-5 days notice (depending on price
bracket), and that we have availability on the revised date. The balance is
to be paid in full on completion of the job on the day. We don’t offer credit
unless previously agreed. Deposit and the balance can be paid by cash,
cheque, BACS or paypal.

Will you position my furniture in the new property?

Yes. All our staff are trained to not leave a job until all furniture is placed in the desired positions in the rooms. If you label all the boxes they too will be placed in the correct rooms. Be wary of any company that does not offer
this.

Are there any goods you can't remove or store?

Generally any flammable liquids or gases however they are contained
cannot be submitted for removal or storage. Bricks, slabs or building
materials cannot be transported due to weight unless previously agreed.
Paint and oil cannot be transported or stored either due to the high risk of
damage to your goods and our vehicles should they leak. We cannot
remove or store fresh food stuffs. There are other items that cannot be
stored or moved, like firearms, ammunition and drugs. For a full and
detailed list of exclusions, request and read the full terms and conditions.

How much notice?

Household Removals and storage are usually confirmed and booked
between 7-14 days before the expected move takes place. Although we
may take a provisional booking much further in advance if certain
conditions apply. Please always try to give as much notice as possible and
in return we will try to be as flexible as possible. Do not fully book your
removal until you are sure everything is in place with the sale and purchase
of your house. One point we can’t stress enough…. Always, always try to
insist on a gap of at least a week to 10 days between exchange and
completion. Having the two close together means you are much more likely

to have something go wrong last minute when it’s too late to change your
removal booking.

How far do you travel?

We cover the whole of the UK and most of Europe.

Do I have to empty my drawers?

As long as there are no heavy or breakable items left in drawers then it is
usually ok to leave them full. Some types of furniture like self assembly
units don’t travel well and it is advised that you empty these completely. As
long as the furniture itself is sturdy then items like clothing and bedding can
and should be left in.

Are you fully insured?

Of course, as standard your goods will be insured to £30k. This can be
modified if needed. Your goods are insured while being loaded and
unloaded and while in transit. We also have substantial public liability and
employer liability insurance. If you require more information on our
insurance and what covered and what is not then feel free to call us.

Do you provide a budget option?

Yes we have a great ‘Man & Van’ service available. Please see the Man &
Van page for full details.

What packing services do you offer?

For the least stressful moving experience we can provide a full
comprehensive packing service of the entire property. Or maybe you just
want a room or two packed or maybe just pictures, mirrors and tv’s. No
problem, we can tailor our packing quote around your exact requirements.
Please see you packing page for more details.

Do you take furniture apart and un-plumb washing machines?

Yes, we need to know in advance though. You will be asked about this and
the furniture assessed during the home survey.

Do you put furniture back together?

Yes, anything we take apart we can put back together for you. We don’t put
furniture together that we have not taken apart unless previously agreed.

Do you protect my floors?

Yes, we cover the high transit parts of the property with floor protectors
where required. Is its wet outside then we increase the amount of floor area
that we cover. Flooring is not covered by any removal insurance though.
